01 / OverviewFerries leave Central Pier 4 for the island's two main villages, Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan, and the paved Family Trail links them in about an hour to an hour and a half, passing Hung Shing Yeh beach and the wind turbine at Lamma Winds. There are no cars, only village shops, small cafés and the seafood restaurants by the water at Sok Kwu Wan. Allow half a day. Carry water, a hat and sunscreen, as the trail has little shade, and check the return ferry timetable before you set off.
