Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila trek is moderate 4-5 day trek starting Chopta meadows (9,400m, 'Mini Switzerland of India'). Lush green grasslands surrounded by oak, deodar, rhododendron forests. April-May features rhododendron blooms in fiery red/pink hues; winter transforms into snow-covered fairytale landscape. Tungnath (3,680m) is world's highest Shiva temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Trek ascends 3,500m elevation gradually. Chandrashila peak (3,700m) final destination offering Himalayan panorama. Visible peaks include Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar, Chaukhamba, Bandarpunch creating 360-degree views. Deoria Tal (serene lake) on route reflects Himalayan peaks. Trail passes through Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. Flora includes 240+ bird species (Himalayan monal, griffon vultures, scarlet finch). Sloth bears, musk deer, snow leopards inhabit region.
