Welcome Note : Upon arriving at Jammu Airport or Railway Station, you will be meeting our Bayard Vacations representative who will welcome and assist you with your luggage helping with escorting towards your vehicle.
Drive to Katra: The journey to Katra, approximately 55 kilometers away, takes about 2-3 hours. The route offers scenic views of the Trikuta hills as you travel on the outskirts of Jammu city.
Check-in: Upon arrival in Katra, check into your hotel.
Leisure Time: Spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may explore local markets or relax at the hotel.
Dinner: Enjoy dinner at the hotel before retiring for the night.

Key guidelines to ensure a smooth travel experience
Main roads in Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam are well-paved, but mountain roads to valleys like Aru, Betaab, and Chandanwari are narrow, winding, and steep. Hiring local taxis or cabs is recommended for safer travel. Roads may be affected by landslides during monsoon (July–September) and snow in winter.
Summers (April–June) are pleasant, 15–30°C, ideal for sightseeing. Monsoon (July–September) brings moderate rain. Autumn (October–November) is cool with fall colors, and winters (December–February) are cold, especially in higher altitudes, with snow suitable for skiing.
Summer requires light woolens, full-sleeve shirts, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Winter requires heavy woolens, jackets, thermals, gloves, caps, and warm shoes. Layered clothing is recommended, and trekking shoes are advised for hills and meadows.
Options range from 3-star hotels to luxury houseboats in Srinagar. Gulmarg and Pahalgam offer resorts, hotels, and guesthouses. Advance booking is recommended during peak seasons. Houseboats provide a unique experience but are generally smaller and basic.
Carry cash for remote areas, as ATMs may be limited. Keep personal medications and sunscreen handy. Respect local customs and religious sites.
Union Taxis are locally registered taxi services in Kashmir that operate under a government-regulated union. They are used to travel to remote tourist spots, valleys, and pilgrimage points that standard private vehicles or package vehicles may not cover.

Traveller Documentation
For domestic travel, travellers must carry a valid government-issued photo ID as required by local regulations.
For international travel, travellers must hold a valid passport (minimum six months' validity from the date of travel) and all required visas and travel documents.
The company may guide on documentation but is not responsible for denial of boarding, visa refusal, or any service denial due to incomplete or incorrect documents.
Itinerary & Services
The sequence or timing of sightseeing, transfers, or activities may be changed due to weather, traffic, operational, or safety reasons.
If a service, attraction, or activity is unavailable, the company may provide a similar alternative of comparable value where possible.
Accommodation
Hotel bookings are subject to availability. If the selected hotel is not available, an alternate hotel of a similar category will be arranged.
Check-in and check-out times are as per hotel policy and may vary by destination.
Transportation
Vehicles (usually air-conditioned, where available) will be provided according to the itinerary and group size.
The company is not liable for delays or interruptions caused by traffic, mechanical issues, strikes, or other circumstances beyond its control.
