Sightseeing:
Thumboormuzhi Dam & Butterfly Garden (Approx. 45 min): A charming dam and rock garden situated on the Chalakudy River in Thrissur district, surrounded by lush forest. The butterfly garden here hosts dozens of beautiful species and is a delight for nature lovers and children alike.
Athirappilly Waterfalls (Approx. 1–1.5 hrs): Often called "The Niagara of South India," Athirappilly is Kerala's largest and most magnificent waterfall, dropping 80 feet over a basalt rock face into the Chalakudy River below. The surrounding Sholayar rainforest is home to elephants, gaur, leopards, and over 270 species of birds — the site has served as backdrop for several Bollywood and Malayalam films. Entry fees apply.
Charpa Waterfalls (Approx. 30 min): A lesser-visited but equally picturesque waterfall located a short distance from Athirappilly, set amidst verdant forest trails. Ideal for those seeking a quieter, more offbeat experience.
Vazhachal Waterfalls (Approx. 20 min stop): Located very close to Athirappilly, this cascading falls along the forest road is perfect for a quick scenic stop.
Silver Storm Water Theme Park (Optional — Approx. 3–4 hrs): Located at Vettilappara near Athirappilly, this popular water theme park offers a variety of exciting rides, wave pools, and attractions suitable for families, groups, and children.
