Day01
Arrival: Upon arrival at Bengaluru Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our Bayard Vacations representative and begin your scenic journey towards Sakleshpur, surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Western Ghats.
Enroute Sightseeing:
Manjarabad Fort (Approx. 1 hr) : An extraordinary 18th-century fort built by Tipu Sultan in 1792, designed in a perfect 8-pointed star shape — a rare defensive military architecture in India. Perched on a hilltop at 968 metres, the fort was designed so that each of its points provided covering fire to adjacent walls, eliminating blind spots. The surrounding moat and bastions are well-preserved. The aerial view of the star shape from the walls is its most photographed aspect.
Magajahalli Falls (Approx. 30 min) : A gentle roadside waterfall near Hanbal, approximately 20 feet high, set in dense greenery and accessible via a short 100-metre walk from the main road. A small plunge pool at the base is ideal for a refreshing dip outside peak monsoon. A calm, non-touristy spot.
Bisle View Point: Proceed to the spectacular Bisle View Point, offering sweeping panoramic vistas of the lush Western Ghats. Surrounded by protected forests and rich biodiversity, this scenic viewpoint is a true paradise for nature lovers and photographers.
Sri Sakleshwara Swamy Temple (Approx. 30 min) : One of Sakleshpur's oldest temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, believed to have been constructed during the Hoysala period. Situated on the banks of the Hemavathi River, the temple architecture showcases classic Hoysala carved stonework in its main sanctum.
Agni Gudda (Approx. 1 hr trekking, optional) : A scenic hill near Agani village, about 25 km from Sakleshpur, known for its panoramic views of paddy fields, forests, and surrounding hills. Popular for sunrise walks, camping, and picnics; the location has also been used as a film shooting location.
Evening: Return to your pre-booked hotel and relax after a memorable day exploring the heritage, waterfalls, sacred landmarks, and breathtaking landscapes of Sakleshpur.

📌 Client Note: The Bisle Viewpoint requires a brief forest entry permit from the Karnataka Forest Department check post en route — your driver will assist with this. The drive into Bisle forest reserve involves an unmade road for the final few kilometres; a 4x4 or higher-clearance vehicle is recommended, especially post-monsoon. Agni Gudda trek is suitable for moderate fitness levels — carry water, wear closed footwear, and avoid the evening trek without a local guide.

If a service, attraction, or activity is unavailable, the company may provide a similar alternative of comparable value where possible.
Accommodation
Hotel bookings are subject to availability. If the selected hotel is not available, an alternate hotel of a similar category will be arranged.
