Day01
Arrival: Guests are picked up from Calicut (Kozhikode) International Airport or Railway Station and transferred to Wayanad (approx. 85–90 km, 2.5–3 hours via the scenic Thamarassery Ghat Road).
Check-in: Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel. After freshening up and refreshments, proceed for afternoon sightseeing.
Sightseeing:
Lakkidi Viewpoint & Chain Tree (Gateway to Wayanad) (Approx. 30–40 min): Known as the "Gateway of Wayanad," this iconic crest of the Thamarassery Ghat offers breathtaking panoramic views of mist-covered valleys, winding hairpin bends, and forested mountains below. Just beside the viewpoint stands the famous Chain Tree — a centuries-old tree bound in iron chains, believed to be the spirit of a tribal guide who led British surveyors through the ghat. Local folklore surrounding the tree makes this a fascinating cultural and scenic stop combined — a memorable first welcome to Wayanad.
Pookode Lake (Approx. 45 min): A serene freshwater lake nestled within a natural forest reserve, surrounded by rolling green hills. Guests can enjoy pedal boating on the calm waters, stroll along the lakeside walkway, and visit the small aquarium nearby. Lotus flowers and freshwater fish add to the peaceful charm of this beloved stop.
Banasura Sagar Dam (Approx. 45–60 min): India's largest earth dam, set against a spectacular backdrop of verdant hills with small forested islands dotting the vast reservoir. The panoramic views are especially dramatic after the monsoon season when water levels are at their peak. Speed boating is available on-site for those seeking a touch of adventure.
Evening: Return to the hotel. Relax and enjoy dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant.
Accommodation: Overnight stay in Wayanad.

If arrival in Calicut is late (post-noon), sightseeing will be limited to Lakkidi Viewpoint, Chain Tree + Pookode Lake only. Banasura Sagar Dam may be moved to Day 2 morning or skipped to avoid after-dark travel on the Ghat road.
Boating at Pookode Lake and Banasura Sagar Dam is optional and chargeable, payable directly on-site.

Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel/resort availability and may incur additional charges.
Valid government photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport) is mandatory for all travelers at the time of check-in.

The company may guide on documentation but is not responsible for denial of boarding, visa refusal, or any service denial due to incomplete or incorrect documents.

If a service, attraction, or activity is unavailable, the company may provide a similar alternative of comparable value where possible.
Accommodation
Hotel bookings are subject to availability. If the selected hotel is not available, an alternate hotel of a similar category will be arranged.
